Professor ERLING R. ERIKSEN teaches at the University
of Stavanger, Department of Music and Dance and at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo.
He studied with professor Einar Steen-Nøkleberg and professor Hans Leygraf
at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, and with professor
Alfons Kontarsky at Hochschule für Musik, München. Meisterklassendiplom
1981.
After a successful debut in Oslo in 1978, ha has given concerts in many european
cities, as well as in USA, Canada, China and Japan.
In 2007 his complete recording of J.S.Bach: Das Wohltemperierte Klavier was highly
acclaimed by the critics.

During the last years Eriksen has cooperated closely with his professorcolleague
in Stavanger, soprano Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz and mezzosoprano Ann-Beth Solvang. He has given masterclasses in Roma, Pescara, Nanjing, Weimar, Stockholm,
Oslo, Paris and Guangzhou.
In 2000 he was awarded the Griegprize.
